Gangs of Wasseypur director, Anurag Kashyap, has taken to acting in recent times. From Maharaja with Vijay Sethupathi to Rifle Club, the director is making his moves in the South with his acting.

In the last few of his videos, the actor-director has been seen hating on Bollywood.

In a recent interview, Kashyap talked about how Bollywood is lacking the skills to make films. The industry cannot even make a Pushpa, it can only be made by Sukumar.

He further said that Bollywood has been stooping to new lows, and change can only take place when the industry hits rock bottom.

The director made his fair share of films during his run in the early 2000s when he released films like No Smoking, Paanch and Gulaal.

Rather than being a part of the change to tilt the industry in the right direction, it's people like him who constantly complain instead of being a part of the solution.

Bollywood isn't at its peak, we all agree. But that doesn't mean that the film industry is failing.

The needs of the audience are dynamic, and the industry is constantly evolving to mould itself for them. Every film is an experiment, some of them work, and some of them don't.

It is an evolutionary process and hence it will always see ups and downs. Directors don't need to be so critical about the industry if they can't contribute towards its betterment.
