This Diwali season, as many as four new films arrived at the box office and they showed some pretty good promise as well. Here is a look at the opening day box office performance of the new releases.
Lucky Bhaskar opened to decent reviews and it is understandably the best started. It reportedly opened with Rs 10+ crore gross on the first day. It could take decent momentum into the weekend and post up good numbers through Sunday.
Dil Raju's Honest Confession: "I Lost My Track!"
We then have Kiran Abbavaram's Ka which opened to better reviews when compared to his earlier films. Box office wise, it got off to a moderate start. But with the relatively encouraging word of mouth, it could hold its own over the first weekend.
Amaran, featuring Sivakarthikeyan also opened to good reviews. While the Tamil openings are extremely good, the trend is yet to peak in Telugu. And again, with a good word of mouth, this film is also expected to fare well.
USA Pre-sales: A Big Test for Allu Army
Lastly, we have Bhagira which has its story from Prashanth Neel. However, this film is a complete non starter at the Telugu box office as it had no momentum going into the release.
Luckily, three of the four films have something to look forward to this Diwali long weekend.
