During a podcast interview, Trump lauded the Indian Prime Minister and shared his anecdotes during his time in the White House. He recalled the 2019 "Howdy Modi" event and seemed impressed by Modi's leadership style.

According to him, India was less stable before Modi came into power in 2014. He went on to praise the Indian PM for his ability to handle threats from nations like Pakistan and China.
This comes following the event when Trump called India a "great abuser" of trade relations last month. He claimed he was going to meet Modi during his US visit but it never transpired, leading to rumors that the friendship might have soured.
