The Court stated that not all posts on social platforms should be treated as crimes. Only cases involving defamation, incitement to violence, or threats to peace and security may proceed to court.

After reviewing the matter, the Court struck down all the cases against him. The Justice ruled that political speech, no matter how exaggerated, should not be brought to the High Court.

Further, the Court issued clear guidelines to police and Magistrate Courts. It emphasised that political opinions are not punishable under criminal law and should not result in court proceedings.

This ruling aims to prevent biased or one-sided investigations into political commentary and upholds the right to free political expression.
