Firstly, its promoters are from the Kamma Community. Secondly, GITAM's founder, Dr. MVVS Murthy, is a Strong TDP supporter, and then, his Grandson, Bharat, who is the Managing Director of GITAM, is Balakrishna's SIL and also a TDP MP.
We have seen YSR Congress demolish GITAM University's compound wall,l saying that it has encroached on the Government land.
GITAM had to go to the court and prove that all those allegations were wrong.
Congress is Congress - Infighting But Normal
And now, the YSR Congress ecosystem has targeted Bharat once again.
Reacting to the allegations that they destroyed Andhra University for GITAM, Bharat came up with an explanation.

"They accused me of trying to destroy Andhra University to help GITAM grow. But we serve different groups. Andhra University offers affordable education to economically weaker students. GITAM has a higher fee structure and serves a different student base. Still, we have merit students only 50-60 out of every 100, but Andhra University has 90 Merit Students out of every 100 students," Bharat said.
He also heaped praises on Andhra University further.
"Andhra University and Public Universities of that type play an important role in giving chances to the Most Deserving from the Lower Economic Strata. Those are the people who have fire in their belly. They come to Andhra University, where justice is done to them," Bharat added.
This is how Bharat beautifully spoke about Andhra University, but the YSR Congress ecosystem twisted it, saying that Bharat insulted Andhra University is for the poor, and their GITAM is for the Rich.
Bharat's words were cut in a way to show that he is insulting AU, but it is not the case.

Interestingly, this speech was at the Andhra University Centenary Celebrations.
Sri Bharat won in the recent elections from Vishakapatnam Parliament with a sensational majority of 5,04,247 votes.
He was the candidate in 2019 as well and lost the election with a slender margin after JD Lakshminarayana cut TDP votes.
So, he is the obvious target of the YSR Congress ecosystem.
