TV Ramarao staged a Protest demanding at least three seats in the total fourteen societies.
The removal of Ramarao as the Incharge is not just confined to this protest.
He is accused to encouraging the Groupism in the Party and also rumored to be eyeing to return to YSR Congress but not before destroying the alliance in the constituency.
Meanwhile, a Picture is doing rounds on Social Media saying that TDP has given twelve societies to the Kamma Community and two to the Kapu Community.

In to the facts, Kovvuru constituency is uniquely placed. The Kamma Community in the Agriculture is the Back Bone of the TDP here since the party inception.

They always stood by the party politically and financially.
Once Chandrababu Naidu came at the helm of the TDP, he encouraged the Kapu Community leaders against the Kammas here which weakened the party here to some extent.
And then, YS Rajasekhara Reddy came up with a Killer move. He made this constituency as SC Reserved in the 2009 Delimitation to decimate the Kamma and TDP domination.
Not only Kovvuru, all the nearby constituencies where Kammas are active - Gopalapuram (SC), Polavaram (ST), Aswaraopeta (ST), and Sattupally (SC).
The idea is that the Kammas will naturally lose interest in Politics and give up supporting TDP. Kovvuru had Kamma MLA for every single time before that.
But then, the Community did not give up and continued supporting the TDP here.
In the four elections after the Delimitation, TDP lost only once here.
"Kammas are bearing the burden of TDP since it's inception. We lost money and fought with Governments when TDP is in Opposition. We also got cases as a result. Why such uproar when we got something so trivial posts as Societies Chairmans?," the Community Elders in the constituency are questioning.
"After losing everything, we are expected to lose further so that the party can become correct in Social Justice?," they add.
