A man from Andhra Pradesh has been arrested for running a scam, offering fake medical help to people in need, all under the guise of the Government's "NRI convenor."
Konduri Rajesh, 34, tricked various people from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana of ₹54.34 lakh. He used a US-based number to communicate with the victims on WhatsApp, claiming he was Telugu Desam Party (TDP) NRI Convenor.

Rajesh offered financial aid for medical treatment and sent fake receipts to make people believe his story. He found his targets from social media as they were asking for help using hashtags like #HelpAtNaraLokesh.
The 34-year-old played a double role in his scam not only posing as an NRI but also as a bank manager. He later contacted people for remittance charges to release funds.
