Cases have become common for YSRCP. With so many false narratives being relayed to people, it is a natural outcome, feel many. The legal cell of YSRCP is forever busy fighting cases due to its leaders and their actions.
YSRCP leaders talk of 'red book' governance. But if one closely follows Andhra Pradesh politics, most of its leaders are part of recorded acts of physical or verbal abuse of citizens of Andhra Pradesh or the leaders of the ruling party.
Now, Deputy Speaker Raghurama Raju has sent legal notices to Indira Television director YS Bharti Reddy, the group's editor, bureau chief and board of directors. Raghurama said that Sakshi regularly carried stories picturing him as a person in the wrong. He said the impact of the stories was harming his personal credibility.
Raghurama demanded a public apology and added that if Sakshi fails to do so, he will take action as per civil and criminal laws. But what catches attention is that Raghurama demanded Rs 1 crore for defamation.
Raghurama says he will donate the Rs 1 crore to the Amaravati farmers if Sakshi coughs up the amount. He said he is in no mood to entertain Sakshi media's false stories and will proceed legally.
It's time YSRCP's legal team brushed up its sections, as Raghurama is a tough nut to crack. Also, he is very clear that Sakshi's stories against him are part of a planned strategy to get back at him due to political vengeance.
Raghurama was part of YSRCP during Jagan's term when he exposed the various shortcomings of the party and Jagan.
