Kantara: Chapter 1 is set to release on October 2, 2025, and serves as a prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara. Directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, the film explores ancient folklore and the mystical world of the Kadamba dynasty.
With extensive training in traditional martial arts like Kalaripayattu, Rishab Shetty is expected to deliver an authentic and gripping performance on the big screen.
Next up is Salaar 2, officially titled Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam, starring Prabhas. It also marks the beginning of a three-film collaboration between Prabhas and Hombale Films, promising more power-packed content over the next few years.

Adding to the excitement is an untitled project with Hrithik Roshan, marking his debut collaboration with Hombale. Although details remain under wraps, Hrithik has described the film as a massive cinematic experience and hinted at a pan-India scale.
Beyond these, Hombale Films has hinted at more big announcements involving major stars and pan-India projects.

However, not everything seems to be going smoothly behind the scenes.
Kantara: Chapter 1 is reportedly facing production troubles. Sources suggest multiple deaths on and off the sets have caused significant delays, making the scheduled October 2 release date look uncertain.
Salaar 2 also appears to be in limbo. With Prabhas committed to several massive projects - Raja Saab, Fauji, and Spirit - it may be years before Salaar 2 goes into production.
Moreover, while Salaar Part 1 did decent business, it fell short of being considered a big box office hit.
As for the film with Hrithik Roshan, it's generating excitement, but with no confirmed details about the genre, cast, crew, or shooting timeline, the announcement so far seems to be more of a buzz-builder on social media.
Until concrete developments emerge, many are taking it with a pinch of salt.
