A huge fire broke out in the second block of Secretariat in Velagapudi near Vijayawada on Friday. It has emerged that the fire broke out where the batteries were stored.
Once the fire was detected, the fire safety department and SPF department were informed.
The fire safety personnel rushed to the second block and brought the fire under control. The police are investigating if it was a fire accident or if there was any conspiracy behind it.

As the accident took place in early hours, none of the staff were around in the building. A detailed report of the incident is awaited. The extent of damage is yet to be estimated.
