Veteran actor Suniel Shetty has sparked waves of conversation around social media, expressing his delight over son Ahan Shetty working with the likes of Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh in 'Border 2'.

The film, expected to make its release on January 23rd, 2026, is the highly-anticipated sequel of the 1997 blockbuster 'Border'. The original classic became an all-time success, owing to its god-tier music, patriotic theme, and the performances of the ensemble cast.

Just like Gadar 2 in 2023, the sequel is expected to become a hit by tapping into the nostalgia of its predecessor.

While Suniel Shetty's role garnered significant praise for Border, Ahan's ability to replicate and build on his father's success is something that is highly debatable.

Tadap, which was a remake of the Telugu film 'RX 100', was a big flop at the BO, with Ahan's performance being described as 'mediocre' at best. This setback forced him on a long break of almost 4 years.
