An H-1B worker, just trying to manage her health, is now in a messy situation after requesting a leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

What should've been a straightforward request allegedly turned into confusion, exclusion, and discrimination.

After telling her supervisor at the university about needing medical leave, she was slapped with a No Contact Order (NCO), which prohibits her from communicating with her colleague. No warning, no explanation, and no due process, just a decision that left her in the dark.

Even the campus police got involved warning her about criminal consequences if she violates the NCO, despite the lack of any legal justification. To make things worse, her job was changed with extra oversight, and she was cut off from the mentorship she once had.

This happened right after she disclosed her health condition which is the most controversial detail. As an H-1B visa holder, she's now facing a nightmare that could cost her everything-her job, her health, and her legal status in the country.
