Harish Rao's Kaaki Lekkalu On KCR's National Dreams!

In an interview, Harish Rao made an interesting comment about why TRS became BRS.

"KCR guessed it well in advance that the BJP would not get a majority this time (2024).

That is the reason why he started BRS. If not for the Assembly election loss, we would have easily gotten 40 Parliament seats. KCR would have played the role that Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar are playing now," Harish Rao said.

If BRS were to win 40 Parliament seats, it would have to do well in other states too.

Also, going by what Harish Rao said, KCR estimated the National Scenario very well, but could not see what is happening in his own boat.

There are seventeen MP seats in Telangana.

Leaving Hyderabad, if we consider BRS wins all the remaining 16, the party needs to get another fourteen from other states.

By then, KCR is fancying his chances in Maharashtra, Odisha, and Karnataka.

So that means 4-5 seats in each state.

That sounds very unrealistic, even if we consider BRS won the Telangana Assembly elections.

Even at the height of the BRS's popularity, the party did not win more than eleven in Telangana. But that is another story.

So, these 40 MP seats and spinning wheel in Delhi look as unrealistic as it gets.

That aside, many believe that changing TRS to BRS is one of the biggest reasons for the defeat.

There is no Telangana in the party now, and so, the Telangana people moved away.

After the defeat, there are demands that BRS roll back its name to TRS, but even that is not possible due to technical reasons.

Meanwhile, KTR mentioned that BRS had not given up on its national ambitions.

"It is true that BRS had suffered a setback in its national dreams. We have not given up on our ambition to play a crucial role at the national level. We will strive to capture power in Telangana and work towards expanding nationally in parallel," KTR said.
