Kakani had filed a petition in the High Court asking to direct the police to take time in arresting him and dismiss the case against him for quartz mining in Podalakuru. The High Court dismissed his plea.
It is known that a case has been booked against Kakani for illegal mining of quartz, its transportation and using explosives against rules.

The case was filed by a mining official on Kakani over illegal encroachment of land and illegal mining of quartz.
Kakani is A4 in the case filed in February. Following the bail denial, police have issued notices to Kakani for investigation. But Kakani is absconding.
Janasainiks Threats, Kavitha & BRS Not Bothering
The High Court heard the case two days back, but reserved its judgement. Kakani's lawyers argued that the case was an act of political vendetta. The counsel for police said Kakani had abused power and intimidated several people.
The police gave notices to Kakani three times. They are hunting for him in Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengaluru.
