While fans are already excited for the same, they are additionally celebrating the 25th anniversary of Hera Pheri, which came out back in 2000.
The first part received a positive response from the audience at the time of release, specifically for the comedy timing of the lead trio portrayed by Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty.
SRK Way Ahead of Salman and Aamir: Why?
It was followed by Phir Hera Pheri in 2006, and while the first part was directed by Priyadarshan, the late Neeraj Vora took over the director's seat.
The second part turned out to be a bigger hit than the first film, and considering the film's end on a cliffhanger, audiences are eagerly waiting for the third entry.
Bikini Queen Disha Patani in Danger: New Threat?
The third film is going on floors by the end of this year. Priyadarshan will once again return as the director, possibly adding more fun and entertaining elements to the film.
But a question mark remains on whether it will be able to attract the audience. Most of Priyadarshan's cult classic comedy films were written by Neeraj Vora, who is no more with us. This was one of the reasons why Hungama 2 failed to impress viewers on OTT.
In case Priyadarshan is writing the story, he needs to get back to the formula that he used in the old days, where the situations in comedy films aimed to make the audience laugh out loud.
Moreover, the jokes will have to be funny enough to connect with today's audience, and they must be linked properly with the core premise so that it does not look like forced comedy.
With almost a year left for release, let's see if Hera Pheri 3 can leave a bigger impact this time compared to the first two films.
