A lot was at stake for NTR with Devara which is his immediate next film after RRR. Luckily for him, the film opened big at the box office and posted excellent numbers in the opening weekend which made up for the mediocre second week.

Coming to the Hindi box office prospects, the film has reportedly collected Rs 51 crores nett here till now. The trend over the second week has been strictly mediocre as it could add Rs 8.5 crore nett over the second weekend, as compared to Rs 29 crore opening weekend. The drop is a significant 70%.

With the total tally locked in at Rs 51 crore now, Devara must be able to add another Rs 9 crore in its full run and take the tally to Rs 60 crore.

Only Star Heroine To Score 1000 Cr in One Year?

Had the second week been as strong as the opening weekend, the film might have aimed at Rs 90-100 crore nett but that wasn't to be due to the lack of necessary push from the mass belts, it seems.

Devara was anyway sold for a nominal price in Hindi so the film was bound to make money here. But the impetus was always on the overall number and on this front, Devara doing Rs 60 crore is a decent return.

Actress' Celebratory Mood After Family Tragedy?

Bollywood box office portals are categorizing Devara as an average/above-average grosser at the Hindi box office. This just about does the job for NTR after RRR.
