However, there is nothing guaranteed in Bollywood as fans have developed a great taste in what to watch and what to not.
With that in mind, Housefull 5 aims to become the much-awaited box office comeback for Akshay Kumar, but it might take a lot to pull that off.
Housefull franchise has been delivering consistently at the box office and with an average footfall of 1.5 crores in the past four installments, it is interesting to know that the franchise hasn't crossed 1.75 crores till now.
Housefull 5 has the potential to break that record and register great numbers given the stellar cast.
However, the plot of the film will decide whether it will turn out to be a hit or not.
Over the years, Housefull scripts haven't been up to the mark with weak performances by the main leads.
The makers have invested almost 375 crores on this comedy murder mystery. To recover that much budget the film should aim at least 2 crore footfalls. As of now it looks difficult.
Going by the box office history in recent years, it is difficult to predict that Housefull would even cross 1 crore in footfalls.
On top of everything, Akshay Kumar was not able to deliver at the box office despite showing strong performances in Kesari Chapter 2 and Sky Force.
Given his weak form, it is highly unlikely that Housefull 5 would be able to deliver big time.
With not much time remaining for the film's release, only time will tell if the film will have a successful box office run or not on 6 June 2025.
