Across India, mock drills will be held in 259 districts. The mock drills will be conducted for protection of Metros, defense organisations and other important institutions.
In category 1, there are 13 districts. In category 2, there are 201 districts and in category 3, there are 45 districts. Hyderabad and Vizag fall under category 2.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has directed all states and union territories to test and strengthen country's preparedness against modern and complex threats.
