Hyderabad Gets Asia's 2nd Google Safety Centre

Over the past two decades, Hydeerabad transformed into an IT hub, giving tough competition to the likes of Bengaluru and Gurugram. Already, many IT giants like Amazon, Google, Facebook and Microsoft have their biggest campuses outside the US in Hyderabad.

Currently, the Telangana government is making all attempts to bring multi-national companies to the state. The IT ministry is working towards getting investments in a big scale. In the latest development, Google announced a Safety Engineering Center in Hyderabad. This centre will be the second one in the Asia Pacific region and the fifth one worldwide.

The agreement was finalized on Wednesday in a meeting between Google's Chief Information Officer Royal Hansen, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, and IT Minister Sridhar Babu. The Hyderabad centre will be the second in the Asia Pacific region and the fifth worldwide.

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy expressed pride in Hyderabad being selected for this project. Revanth Reddy is confident that this initiative will generate thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities. Similarly, Royal Hansen lauded Telangana's leadership in digital skill development.
