Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu addressed a public meeting in Datti, Vizianagaram. Taking a dig at Jagan Mohan Reddy, he said he was "no Tughlaq" and promised to lead the state to the top with development-focused governance.
Naidu said that under Jagan's rule, people were unable to celebrate festivals with joy. He highlighted that within 16 months, his government spent ₹48,000 crore on pensions and provided financial aid to all children in families through the Talliki Vandanam scheme.
He pointed out that women benefited from free bus travel through Stree Shakti, which accounted for rides worth ₹10 crore. Under Deepam 2, each household received three free cylinders annually. He also announced that ₹15,000 would be credited to auto drivers on October 4.
Naidu said 15,000 jobs were created through the Mega DSC recruitment drive. He also mocked Jagan, saying that during his visits, trees were cut and pits dug to block people. According to him, Jagan's 2024 defeat restored freedom to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
