Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu addressed Ministers and secretaries at the State Secretariat on Monday. He said 2025 had been a positive year, adding that the government restored public hope and rebuilt confidence after a system collapse.
The Chief Minister said the state was brought back on track through the Super Six programmes. He told officials and Ministers that development and welfare must move faster and urged them to work with greater focus in the coming year.
Chandrababu said Rs 10090 crore was deposited into 67 lakh mothers' accounts under Talliki Vandanam. Through Stree Shakti, 3.9 crore women travelled free of cost, with the government spending Rs 1114 crore on the scheme.
Under Annadata Sukhibhava, 46 lakh farmers received Rs 6310 crore, he said. Chandrababu also stated that Rs 50,000 crore was spent on pensions in one year, calling it a major support system for vulnerable sections.
Speaking on Amaravati, he said the capital was once mocked as a desert or crematorium. He called it an inspiring project and said farmers were made stakeholders in the capital development plan.
He described Polavaram as a super project and said its completion would place Andhra Pradesh ahead of southern states. Chandrababu said Nallamala Sagar would supply water to Rayalaseema and Ongole using Polavaram flows.
He clarified that using Polavaram water for Nallamala was justified and said Telangana could also use residual water. He added that he never opposed projects taken up by Telangana.
Chandrababu said Bhogapuram Airport would soon be dedicated to the nation. He added that the Vizag Steel Plant was being protected with support from the Central government.
The Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh attracted 25 percent of national investments. He stated that projects worth Rs 8.74 lakh crore were approved through SIPB and would generate large-scale employment.
