India's Darkest Crime Novel on Big Screens Soon

Bollywood will be exploring the depths of India's social complexities with Saif Ali Khan and Hansal Mehta joining hands on the screen version of Nilanjana Roy's highly acclaimed novel, Black River.

This gripping murder mystery, billed as a "psychological thriller" and a "magnificent work of literary fiction," will not only star Saif in the lead but also have him co-producing the film with Mehta's True Story Films. Production is expected to commence in mid-2026.
