A key development has taken place in the Supreme Court in the case of YS Jagan's illegal assets cases.
The CJI bench transferred the hearing on the petitions filed by TDP MLA Raghu Rama Krishna Raju to another bench.
4 Days Remand For Former BRS MLA
Earlier, TDP MLA Raghu Rama Krishna Raju filed separate petitions to cancel Jagan's bail and shift the trial from Hyderabad. CJI Justice Sanjiv Khanna's bench heard the matter today and referred it to another Bench.
Justice Sanjay Kumar is a member of the CJI bench. Jagan's lawyer Ranjith Kumar said that these petitions belong to Andhra Pradesh.
Vizianagaram MLC By-election Cancelled
On behalf of the CBI, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta asked for some time to file the counter in view of the changed circumstances.

Will I Keep Calm When My Mother Is Insulted?
While the court proceedings that happened in the court are nothing special, the CBI's submission in the court are interesting.
What are the changed circumstances that CBI is referring to?
These petitions were filed when Jagan was in power, and so the CBI will consider that Jagan Mohan Reddy is no longer the CM when filing the reply.
The CBI earlier took a position not to trouble Jagan Mohan Reddy because he was a Chief Minister.
There is a certain guarantee that Jagan will not flee the country and will adhere to the Bail terms because he is in a big position. But when he is out of power, naturally things will change.
Also, Jagan's non-cooperation with court proceedings even after losing power will be considered. If the CBI takes a changed stance, it may be trouble for Jagan.
If not for drastic measures like Bail Cancelation, the Supreme Court may order daily hearings of the case and Jagan attend the hearings every week.
If that happens, the cases will be resolved soon which means trouble to Jagan politically.
