It has been just eight months since the new government was formed in Andhra Pradesh.

Jagan Mohan Reddy had shifted to Bengaluru after the defeat but we have seen him being active on the ground every now and then.

Be it for meeting the jailed leaders or some other issue, Jagan is hitting the ground once or twice every month.

After the 2019 defeat, TDP had spent a good 2-3 years in hibernation. COVID also added to it. The leadership from top to bottom was disappointed with the '23' result and second-rung leaders especially feared 'Friday arrests'.

So, there was not much activity in the TDP camp.

In comparison, Jagan Mohan Reddy quickly recovered from the 'Eleven Shock' and hit the ground.

If we see his last two public visits (Vijayawada and Guntur), we can also find leaders like Kodali Nani, Perni Nani, and Nandigam Suresh following Jagan.

Nandigam Suresh has been jailed already and is currently on bail. Perni Nani is facing a big case and is the danger of getting arrested. After Vamsi's arrest, it is widely speculated that it will be the turn of Kodali Nani.

Jagan was able to motivate these leaders to hit the ground too. It is a different story if people will see this as too desperate but Jagan is certainly trying to boost the morale of the cadres and the leaders.

The same enthusiasm was not seen in the TDP camp after the 2019 defeat.

However, not going to the Assembly and giving an easy run to the Government in the house is a blunder by Jagan. If he also went to the Assembly and tried to corner the Government, he would have increased the heart further.

But then, Jagan missed it big time. His ego is coming in the way to go to the house and stay in the minority with just eleven MLAs.

There is no place for ego in politics especially when you are in the Opposition.

In 2021, Chandrababu Naidu announced boycotting the Assembly for insulting his wife. He vowed to return to the house only as the Chief Minister. Even then, he did not stop his MLAs from going into the house.

That is because he knows the importance of using the Assembly to highlight the Public issues.

Jagan should correct this mistake somehow.
