Interestingly, the role was first offered to Kangana Ranaut, but after Kangana's recent election win, she opted out. Kajal stepped in, and although her role is brief, it plays a key part in the story.
Kajal also revealed during promotions that she's exploring direction and is currently working on a few scripts. While enjoying her journey as a mother, she remains passionate about cinema.
She is open to character roles now and no longer insists on being the lead - proving that she's evolving gracefully and is ready for a promising second innings.
