Kannappa Hindi Early Reviews: Totally Unexpected?

Kannappa Hindi Early Reviews: Totally Unexpected?

Mirchi 9 0 years ago

In such a scenario every new release is under extra scrutiny and "Kannappa" is no exception.

With a massive star cast and a mythological story based on Sanatan Dharma, the expectations are high-but so are the stakes.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, "Kannappa" has Vishnu Manchu in the lead and cameos from biggies like Prabhas, Akshay Kumar and Mohanlal.

Biggest Confession: Salman in Kareena's Bathroom?

The film is about a warrior who starts as an atheist and becomes a devotee of Lord Shiva and eventually makes the ultimate sacrifice in devotion.

Early reviews from social media influencers and trade analysts like Sumit Kadel and Rohit Jaiswal suggest that the climax is the strongest part of the film and many are getting emotionally overwhelmed-especially the Shiva devotees.

The last 30 to 40 minutes are being compared to "Kantara" and some are calling it a spiritual experience rather than a movie.

Prabhas's cameo is a major talking point. Unlike what some might expect from a special appearance, his role as the hermit Rudra is substantial with good amount of screen time-reportedly around 15-20 minutes though some sources say it could be even more especially in the second half.

His presence is said to lift the entire film with strong dialogues and commanding screen presence that should satisfy the fans.

Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva and Mohanlal as Kirrata also make impactful appearances though with less screen time. But there are mixed feelings about the technical aspects.

Performances and emotional core are praised but some reviewers are saying VFX is inconsistent and first half is dragging.

Also there are whispers about paid reviews but if the film really connects with the audience that's what matters most for Tollywood right now.

In a time when the industry needs a hit "Kannappa" could be the film to turn things around. If the positive word of mouth is genuine and the spiritual essence of the story resonates it might just be the boost Tollywood needs.

Only time will tell if the film lives up to the hype.
