BJP MP Raghunandan Rao launched sharp criticism against BRS chief KCR on the first day of 2026. He said KCR, known for resolving others' panchayatis, was unable to settle issues within his own family involving his son and daughter.
Raghunandan Rao predicted that BRS would fade away in the coming years. He said it was inevitable for Kavitha to float her own party. Rao also referred to KTR and Kaushik Reddy not standing when Revanth Reddy approached KCR, saying the matter should be left to their choice.
Rao stated that despite KTR having ambitions of becoming Chief Minister, he lacked support from his party, cadre, and even family members. He added that such internal signals reflected the weakening state of the BRS leadership structure.
Speaking further, Rao said Harish Rao was silently observing developments within BRS. He confidently stated that BJP would come to power in Telangana in 2029 and said he was ready to put it in writing.
Raghunandan Rao also said Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah had promised to make the country completely free of naxals. He added that the leadership would fulfil this commitment in the coming years.
Addressing reports of differences between the Bandi Sanjay group and the Eatala group, Rao said disagreements were normal in a democracy. He noted that BJP leaders united once the Jubilee Hills candidate was announced.
He said panchayat elections were being misused to suggest internal conflict within BJP. This was incorrect, he said. After ten years of BRS rule and two years of Congress rule, Telangana citizens were now looking towards BJP for leadership, said Raghunandan Rao.
