The Court ordered that the criminal case must be filed before August 21, 2025, and a notice be issued to her. The Court agreed with complainant KTR that Minister Konda Surekha made baseless allegations against the former IT & MAUD minister.
The Court took note of the documentary evidence, testimonies and the argument of complainant before issuing the directive. Court noted the baseless comments made by Konda Surekha against KTR in phone tapping, drugs and actress Samantha divorce issues.
The Court is looking at the defamation case under BNS section 356. The Court also brushed aside the argument put forth by Konda Surekha's counsel.
