Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan visited Kondagattu on Saturday and addressed the gathering there. He said Kondagattu gave him a second life and added that he is still surprised at how he survived his electricity accident.
Pawan Kalyan credited Kondagattu Anjanna for his survival and said the blessings kept him safe during that incident. He described the experience as life changing and said his faith in the deity had grown stronger over the years.
During his visit to Jagityal district Kondagattu, Pawan Kalyan laid the foundation stone for a mandapam meant for deeksha viramana and a choultry. He said the development works were possible due to support from TTD members and Telangana leaders.
Earlier in the day, he took part in special pujas at the temple. He also performed bhoomi puja for a dharmashala costing Rs 35.19 crore, which will have 96 rooms for devotees.
Later, Pawan Kalyan was scheduled to meet Jana Sena leaders and cadre at a resort on the outskirts of Nachupally. He was expected to return to Hyderabad in the afternoon, while police enhanced bandobast due to his visit.
The Kondagattu visit drew attention as Pawan Kalyan had earlier announced his decision to be part of the NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh ahead of the 2024 elections from here.
