The other day, BRS Working President K Taraka Ramarao announced plans for a major statewide padayatra following overwhelming demand from the party workers.
He revealed this during an #AskKTR session on X on Diwali and also said the Padayatra is to strengthen the BRS party and connect with the Public across Telangana.

The finer details like when, where, how, etc are to be revealed.
Padayatra is the most popular method of connecting with the people and coming to power in the Telugu States.
Sai Reddy, Better You Behave As A Coolie!
In 2004, YSR did a Padayatra and came to power. In 2014, Chandrababu Naidu's Padayatra helped TDP win.
In 2019, Jagan's Padayatra ensured his grand victory with 151 seats. And most recently, Lokesh did a Padayatra which played an important role in TDP+ forming the Government in the recent elections.
Perni Nani, Who Should Feel Pity For Whom?
BRS is shell-shocked and severely battered after the recent defeat. So, KTR seems to be banking on the Padayatra for a change in the fortunes.
After the defeat, KCR is mostly confined to the farmhouse. He attended the Assembly only once this term and is politically inactive.
KTR is running the show for the BRS in the Opposition. He has been the face of the party even though Harish Rao is also being active.
The Padayatra will probably give him the space completely and we may have to assume he will be the Chief Minister if BRS wins the 2028 elections.
Probably, BRS will not announce him as the CM candidate before the elections but he will be projected as the obvious choice.
In the last two terms, KTR was projected as the face for the Urban Voters and this Padayatra will ensure him to connect with the people in the villages and smaller towns too.
