The victim, identified as Belliappa, had reportedly left a spa business run by Smitha, also known as Nisha, due to alleged immoral practices and later opened his own salon.
According to the complaint filed by his wife, Sanju PB, the attack took place on Thursday night at Royal Choice Salon and Spa located on Bhuvaneshwari Nagar Main Road under the Amruthahalli Police Station limits.
Smitha, along with her associates Kavya, Mohammed, and two unidentified men, stormed into the salon, ransacked it, and assaulted Belliappa. They then forced him into a car and drove him to Jakkur via Dasarahalli Main Road.

The attackers continued the brutal assault for more than 90 minutes using beer bottles and blunt objects. Smitha allegedly poured petrol on the victim and threatened to set him on fire. Belliappa sustained serious injuries to his head, eyes, and stomach.
Sanju, who saw the abduction through CCTV footage, alerted the police. After a warning from the police, the gang left Belliappa outside the police station. The victim's family also alleges that the salon's CCTV cables were deliberately cut and that the accused may have backing from a local political figure and a known criminal.

Police have arrested Smitha, Kavya, and Mohammed. A case has been registered under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Investigations are ongoing.
