Lokesh Has Feet On Ground, Very Good

Politics often resembles the world of films those in power can easily drift into a comfort zone, detached from the struggles of common people.

But Minister Nara Lokesh appears to be an exception, showing rare political awareness and humility.

in Mangalagiri, where a huge crowd turned up with their grievances. The queues stretched long, taking nearly four hours to address everyone.

Unlike many politicians who boast about large crowds, Lokesh chose a different approach. Instead of celebrating the turnout, he questioned why such issues had piled up in the first place. He reprimanded local leaders for not holding grievance meetings regularly.

Lokesh focused not on the crowd's size but on the grievance papers in people's hands. His words reflected a grounded mindset seeing citizens not as followers waiting for him, but as individuals waiting for solutions.

"If you conduct Grievance Programs regularly, so many people would not have come today," Lokesh reportedly told his team. He also warned that leaders who fail to stay connected with the people risk losing both their MLA and ministerial positions.

He instructed all TDP leaders to organise weekly Praja Darbars in every constituency and said he would personally monitor the progress of each one. His insistence on direct public engagement has been widely appreciated.

It's encouraging to see Lokesh taking a practical and people-centric path. However, he must continue to ensure strong party oversight something that has long been a weakness for his father, Chandrababu Naidu, once he assumes power.

Naidu's past focus on investments often came at the cost of grassroots party connection. Observers now hope Lokesh avoids that mistake and builds a stronger, more responsive leadership model within the TDP.
