A recent report of R. Madhavan's entry into the Lokesh Cinematic Universe has created headlines. A source stated that he has been chosen to portray the antagonist in a new installment, Benz, which will be helmed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan.

While Madhavan's inclusion into the successful franchise led to a lot of excitement among fans, the actor has now confirmed on social media that the news is not true.

Madhavan shared a statement on X, saying that it was news to him. He further stated that although the news sounds exciting and he would like to be a part of the franchise, he added that he had no idea about his casting.

Even if the news turned out to be false, Madhavan's casting in LCU would easily contribute to the success of any particular installment. Madhavan has already left an impression with his negative character in Shaitaan earlier this year.
