Coming to the topic now, we are getting to see a bit too much of Mahesh Babu a bit too frequently on the big screen these days.
Every other month, a cult film of Mahesh is getting re released in theatres and this has been the case for a while now.
The recent example of Khaleja is clearly in implication of the same.

In the meanwhile, Athadu is already preparing for its theatrical re release on August 9 on the occasion of Mahesh's birthday.
The emerging trend is so very clear that Mahesh is appearing on the big screen ever so frequently. This might not be exactly what Rajamouli wants at this point in time.

Usually, Rajamouli banks a lot on creating void and gravity for his heroes. The extended period of not watching that hero on the big screen creates interest amongst fans and also common audience so as to what Rajamouli is cooking with him.
In the case of Mahesh Babu's film, this void is getting depleted marginally as he is appearing on the big screen almost every other month. This might not have necessarily been in the play book of Rajamouli.
On the other hand, fans have every right to celebrate their hero as such is the kind of vastly diverse filmography that Mahesh Babu has.
So we can't necessarily pick a right or wrong option here, considering all that's happening. But what Rajamouli will be hoping is that there will be no more re releases of Mahesh in 2026 so that at least then, some void builds up.
