Many believe he had a big part in tarnishing the former PM's image with his "propaganda film" that painted Singh in a negative light. The movie has been heavily criticized for fueling the right-wing narrative against Manmohan Singh's regime while ignoring his contributions to the Indian economy.
"You made a pure propaganda movie… and now showing fake concern and tears here, have some shame," a social media user reacted to the actor's video on X. Others also called him and told him not to seek attention from the deceased's name.
