The first pre-release event of Sankranthi 2026, Prabhas's The Raja Saab had its pre-release event, and it turned out to be an unexpected emotional rollercoaster for director Maruthi.
He cried uncontrollably upon seeing his hero Prabhas and while trying to deliver his emotional speech.
Maruthi had to stop his speech a few times to recover from his emotions, but it wasn't in his control. Finally, Prabhas had to go on stage to console him.
Maruthi made a promise that no director with a star hero had ever made: he gave away his home address -Villa No. 17, Kolla Luxuria, Kondapur -on stage and asked anyone disappointed with his film to come to his house.
Prabhas too said Maruthi had given him entertainment after 15 years. As everyone knows, this film is more crucial for the director's career than for the hero.
Hopefully, the film delivers and Maruthi's career flourishes from here. The Raja Saab will hit screens on Jan 9 for Sankranthi 2026.
