The month started with the arrival of Nani's HIT 3 and Suriya's Retro. While HIT was an okayish actioner that worked mildly, Retro was a washout from day 1.
Samantha's cameo film Shubham came and left without any noise. Sree Vishnu's Single catered to the younger generation of the audience. It had decent prospects due to the comedy quotient from the slapstick comedy that is used.
Hollywood's Mission Impossible and Final Destination had also arrived at the box office and they both found the target audience. In particular, Final Destination: Bloodlines turned out to be a satisfactory watch.
