The Chief Minister has also spoken to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the evolving situation. The cyclone developed from a depression in the Bay of Bengal and is currently moving towards the AP coastline. Authorities have evacuated coastal residents and shifted them to cyclone rehabilitation centres for safety.

Drawing from his experience during Cyclone Hud-Hud in October 2014, Chandrababu has once again shown strong leadership by initiating early relief and rescue operations. He directed state officials to begin rehabilitation work and ensure full preparedness for the expected landfall.

During a teleconference with district collectors, SPs, and senior officials, Chandrababu ordered that ₹3,000 be provided to each family in the rehabilitation centres. He also instructed that 25 kilos of rice and daily essential items be supplied to all affected households.

HRD Minister Nara Lokesh has also urged officials to remain on high alert. He directed departments to stock ambulances, medicines, and emergency supplies, ensuring quick response and support for those affected.

The state administration continues to track Cyclone Montha's intensity in real-time as it approaches the coast, with coordinated efforts underway to minimise loss and ensure public safety.
