CID season two episode one released a few days ago and what a nostalgia trip it was!
The episode started strong, with a face-off between Abhijeet and Daya. It was quite impressive to watch 75-year-old Shivaji Satam, still looking the same, playing ACP Pradyuman with the same sharpness.
But the show was entirely hanging on the thread of nostalgia.
From the loose script to the predictable climax, the show seemed to be running in the same format as it was ever since it aired in the '90s.

The case was solved by ACP Pradyuman in less than 10 minutes, and the rest 40 minutes left you laughing about whatever was happening.
The editing wasn't at par, the dialogue writing was poor and the story was absolutely flat.
While the cinematic and production value seemed higher, the lack of strong writing was extremely disappointing.
The show is only liked by the audience for its nostalgic trip. Many fans were able to relive their childhood memories with the same people they grew up watching.
