A fourth installment from the 'Masti' franchise has been announced now and it will be helmed by director Milap Zaveri. The movie has not been titled yet but it is going by the working title of Masti 4.

In the OTT era, there is little chance for these movies working out well at the box office. Sex comedies like 'Kya Kool Hain Hum' or 'Masti' and 'Grand Masti' were very popular in the early 2000s. There were little means for erotic pleasures available to audiences and these movies were good to go even on Television.

But now, after OTT being so widely available, the craze for these films has died out. Erotica and various sex comedies from not just India but all over the world are available to watch with one's privacy. So the theatrical chances for Masti 4 are not very good.
Also the director Milap Zaveri has come up with films like 'Satyameva Jayate 2' and 'Marjaavaan' which have been brutally trolled by audiences and critics. So there is not much hope that he will be able to revive the franchise and do something extraordinary with it.
