Self-proclaimed Kapu Activist Mudragada Padmanabham made several mistakes out of ego and also killed the Kapu Reservations Movement in the process.
During 2014-2019, Mudragada spearheaded the Kapu Reservations Movement to trouble Chandrababu Naidu and played his role to create a gap between the TDP and the Kapu community.

Back then, Chandrababu Naidu allotted 5% of the EWS Quota to the Kapu Community, but Mudragada did not welcome it.
After the Government changed, Jagan removed the 5% quota for the Kapu community. Mudragada did not say a word and completely forgot about the Kapu Reservations Movement.

Keeping aside the agitation, he developed hatred and jealousy towards Pawan Kalyan.
He always made sweeping comments insulting Pawan Kalyan and joined the YSR Congress just before the elections.

To date, Mudragada has met Jagan only once, and that too when he joined the party.
There is no respect for him whatsoever, but Mudragada can not say that because of his ego.
Today, YSR Congress announced a PAC Committee with thirty-three members, and Mudragada was one of them.
By the sheer definition of the PAC, the committee is expected to deliberate and discuss everything and advise Jagan Mohan Reddy and the party on Political issues pertaining to the state.
But it is no secret that decisions in YSR Congress are taken by Jagan and his coterie.
So this is just a namesake appointment for Mudragada and the remaining thirty-two members in the committee.
But Mudragada was the first and the most excited about this appointment.
He released a Press Note thanking Jagan Mohan Reddy.
"The next time you become the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, I heartfully wish no one will be able to look at the CM chair for years to come. I will fight to the best of my capabilities to make it happen." Mudragada wrote in that letter.
So, what are the capabilities of Mudragada?
In the erstwhile East Godavari district, YSR Congress did not win a single seat. It lost all the seats dominated by the Kapu community.
In Mudragada's own constituency, Jaggampeta, the TDP candidate won with a whopping 52,676 majority.
Keeping aside the 2024 election, Mudragada has not won an election since 1999. He last contested in the 2014 election as an independent from the Prathipadu constituency and lost his deposit.
So, this assurance to Jagan and all these buildups are nothing but a joke.
