Lokesh went on to talk about two instances from his own life. One was about winning the Mangalagiri constituency. He said he contested from Mangalagiri in 2019 with the intent of rewriting history as TDP didn't win the seat since 1985.
But I lost, he said. The first day, I was very hurt. But from the second day, I decided to work towards winning it. I won in 2024 with the highest majority in the history of Andhra Pradesh, shared Minister Lokesh.

The second one was taking up education portfolio. When it came on TV, everyone from seniors to juniors warned me against it. They said there will be teachers' unions, afternoon meals and school kits. But I like challenges. I believe change has to happen from school-level, said Lokesh.
It has to be recollected that Lokesh had adopted a school in Nidamarru, Guntur district, some time back.
