Nayanthara's recent open letter to producers for their unconditional support for her Netflix documentary 'Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale' has created waves of speculation around the internet.
In the letter, the actress thanked various producers from Tamil Industry and Bollywood including Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and others for granting her permission to use film clips without hesitation.

She claimed that these reflected the result of the friendships and respect she has earned over two decades in the film industry.
Many people on social media are seeing Nayanthara's letter of gratitude as a veiled attack on Dhanush, who has filed a ₹10 Cr. copyright claim for a 3-second clip from their film 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan'.

This comes after the actress had previously released another statement, in which she had accused Dhanush of being a double-faced person making a fool of his innocent fans. She had also called Dhanush's actions an 'all-time low blow'.
Dhanush's father, filmmaker Kasthuri Raja has entered into the feud, denying Nayanthara's claims of having waited for two years to receive permission for the usage of the clip.
