The SIT has revealed shocking details in the remand report of Ajay Sugandh, arrested for supplying adulterated ghee used in Tirupati laddoos.
Investigators found that he provided chemicals to Bhole Baba company to prepare the fake ghee.
Between 2020 and 2024, Ajay reportedly supplied ghee worth crores to Bhole Baba company and earned huge profits. The company mixed his chemicals into the ghee and supplied it in tankers to the Tirumala temple.
SIT discovered that Ajay supplied monoglycerides and acetic acid, which were added to palm oil to make the ghee. Investigators found that nearly 90 percent of the ghee used in Tirumala laddoos was actually palm oil.
According to SIT, Ajay played a key role in the entire adulteration process. Listed as A16 in the case, he was produced before the Nellore ACB Court on Saturday. The Court has remanded him to custody till November 21.
