No Tola Gold For TG Women: Minister Declares

Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has confirmed that the government will not provide one tola of gold to newly married women.

The promise was made by CM Revanth Reddy under the Mahalakshmi scheme during the election campaign. However, it now stands cancelled, disappointing many women who were hopeful.

Now it has crossed Rs 1.5 lakh per tola, making it financially impossible for the government to implement.
