Jr NTR is evidently apolitical despite coming from the Nandamuri family. For a few years now, there have been rumours of NTR Jr joining politics and then becoming the CM of Andhra Pradesh.
Already, Lokesh is being groomed by Chandrababu Naidu as the heir apparent and many leaders in TDP including Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan don't seem to mind Lokesh replacing Chandrababu even before the 2029 elections.
Given this backdrop, NTR Jr was at the inauguration of a hospital in Bengaluru. Sunday being women's day, NTR spoke about the importance of respecting women and promised that he will inculcate good manners and respect towards women in both his sons.
However, the matter didn't end there. NTR Jr's entry into politics remains a big question to his fans. At the function, his Kannada fans raised slogans calling him the CM. In fact, the locals asked him where he would be in 25 years. NTR Jr simply replied he would be 67.
Though NTR Jr got away with a witty reply, ever since demands for NTR Jr becoming the CM of AP came up, there has been a cold war of sorts between the rest of his clan and NTR. NTR clarified that he was busy with films and did not think of a political career for now.
Nevertheless, his fans are amused by NTR's smart reply.
