Amaravati is set to receive a massive statue of NTR along with a memorial. A Cabinet sub committee met at the state Secretariat on Thursday.
During the meeting, members reviewed several design proposals for both the statue and the surrounding memorial area.
The state government has already decided to install NTR's statue on a hill at Neerukonda village in the capital region. A dedicated committee was formed to examine design options. Its role is to carefully select and finalise the most suitable design.
The statue is planned to be constructed using 3500 tones of brass. The detailed project report was reviewed by the sub committee. According to inside sources, the final height, structure, and pose of the statue will be confirmed soon.
The responsibility for installing the statue has been given to Amaravati Growth and Infrastructure Corporation Limited. During the meeting, officials discussed the design, location, and execution plan. The overall installation strategy was reviewed in detail.
Several Ministers and senior officials attended the meeting. The Chandrababu government aims to further enhance the visual appeal of the capital region through this project. Government sources say a final decision on the statue and memorial will be announced soon.
