Megastar Chiranjeevi is set to return to the big screens this Sankranti festival season with his upcoming film Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu.
The film is gearing up for release on January 12.
Ahead of the release, the makers have secured official permission for ticket price hikes. The Telangana government has issued an order allowing increased ticket rates across the state.
As per the order, single-screen theatres can charge an additional ₹50 per ticket. Multiplexes have been permitted a hike of ₹100 across Telangana.
The film will also have paid premier shows across the state. Ticket prices for these premieres have been fixed at ₹600.
The early approval for paid premieres has come as a positive sign for this Chiranjeevi film. The permissions were granted well in advance of the release date.
Earlier, after the last-minute uncertainty surrounding Prabhas's Raja Saab, many were sceptical about the premiere prospects for Chiru's film. However, the government acted promptly in this case.
With elevated ticket prices now confirmed, Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu is expected to benefit during its opening weekend. The higher rates could help boost early revenue.
These increased prices will remain in effect for one week from the release date, January 12. Ultimately, the film's performance will depend on the content delivered by director Anil Ravipudi.
