India just bagged its third medal in the Paris Olympics 2024. It was in the shooting once again. Indian shooter Swapnil Kusale won a bronze medal in men's 50m rifle 3 positions final which was held just about a while ago.

Swapnil started off the match as an underdog. At the end of the initial kneeling stage, Swapnil was in sixth position with 153.3 points.
By the end of the prone stage, Swapnil was in the fifth position with a total of 310.1. At this stage, he was just 0.6 behind the third-positioned shooter.
Huge Olympics Controversy: Men Attacking Women
In the final standing stage, Swapnil reached the fourth position. In the elimination round, he won and secured the third position.
With a final score of 451.4, Swapnil secured the third position. China's Liu Yukun and Zhang Changhong secured first and second positions with respective scores of 468.9 and 466.0.
Olympics: India Wins Second Medal
Swapnil was the first Indian to qualify for the final of men's 50m rifle 3 positions event. Now, he became the first Indian to secure a medal in this event.
Swapnil hails from Kambalwadi village in the Kolhapur district of Maharashtra. This is his maiden appearance at the Olympics.
