It has been one year since the Stampede at Sandhya Theater in RTC X Roads. On that night, Allu Arjun visited the theatre to watch Pushpa 2 with his fans.
The visit led to a tragic situation.
A Stampede took place and a woman died on the spot. Her son Sri Tej was severely injured and remained bedridden for several months. The incident shocked the entire city.
Police said there was no Permission for the event. The actor's team, however, stated that they had obtained all required Permission and informed the local police. This disagreement added confusion to the case.
Sri Tej fought for his life for five months in the hospital. He later recovered enough to be discharged. Allu Arjun covered the full hospital expenses and deposited 2 Crore in the boy's name.
The case became a national sensation when the actor was sent to jail. He had to spend one night in Chanchalguda Jail. This raised intense discussions across the country.
At first, there was strong Public sympathy for Allu Arjun. But some missteps, like Live Streaming of Industry celebrities consoling him and not visiting the hospital, turned public opinion against him.
Still, the actor and his family have supported the child throughout the Hospitalization.
Some of Allu Arjun's Staff and Security are still facing Court cases. They remain on Bail as the legal process continues.
